The airfare customers should devote extra time and effort for their journey preparations, since now a couple of big air carriers have withdrawn advertising on several travel websites.
Many travel websites are loosing business with some air carriers. Around the weekend, Expedia ceased to list American Airlines flights on its website. Last month, American left Orbitz, and Delta withdrew listing flights on BookIt.com , CheapOAir.com and OneTravel.com . Tickets which were purchased beforehand via those travel websites will nevertheless be honored.
Many experts suggest that the reason why these travel websites are loosing airlines is money. The airlines usually lessen the costs by directing more traffic to their own websites rather than travel websites. Thus it seems to be a money saving act.
